<\/p>\nNow that my Mac is back I wanted to address another issue- lack of USB 3.1 and also general lack of USB. I’ve found that i’m using most of the available USB ports (many for multiple serial interfaces I use to connect to my SGI consoles). I also have a external drive that is USB 3, as are most devices now days. Getting USB 3.1 is pretty simple- just get the Sonnet Card. They have Both Type A USB 3.0 and the new Type C USB 3.1 cards. They are available on Amazon and Ebay.<\/p>\n

There’s room in the MacPro for both types of cards if you need them.<\/p>\n
Once it’s installed it pops right up and is available for use in 10.14.<\/p>\n
